CJS-30149 [ABAP: STARTING] did not start after 10:00 minutes. Giving up

I'm on Phase 21 of 24 of NetWeaver 2004s install,

and I'm getting errors on the "Start Instance" step.

It errors out after ten minutes. Is there a way to change

the wait time to, say, 20 minutes?

Here are the errors:

Hi Lee,

You just stop the installation. make sure ur PC has login option and password.I had faced similar problem i dont have password to start windows. I had created a password for windows startup and restarted the installation from where i left (dont go for new installation).I hope this might help you

I resolved this by killing off unneeded items (like a web browser) that were clogging up RAM, then hitting the <retry> button.

Even though I have two Gigs of memory, the sap installer needed every bit of it during the install.
