Server Configuration: Windows 2003 SP2, 2GB RAM, 40GB Hard disk,

Processor details: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5460@3.16GHz

SAP BI Details:

SAP BI 7.0 with service pack20

Server Configuration: HP Unix, 4 dual core processors16 GB RAM, 16GB App Memory

We have arround 400GB Database.

We are facing many performance issues:

1) WebI reports are failing saying memory not sufficient to run a report.

2) Time Out issues while running the report.

How do we tune our system? Is anything can be done at Business Objects Side?

regards,

Nisha

Hi Nisha,

Please refer the below thread,

3.1 on BW

For very large reports with a lot of objects, this may not be sufficient though

and may need to be increased.

Hi ,

This may help you :

  • Time out issue :

Work with Basis team to increase the timeout parameters for your ITS(HTTP) services. Default is 600s. This shuold be a short term fix. long term you need to look into your report, do a performance analysis as to what is causing the delay. Most like you will need to fix your report and that should be a long term fix.

could you provide more details on the size of your deployment ?

Have you done a sizing exercise ? 2 GB RAM on the BusinessObjects for the complete stack ?
