UWL hide task attachments

Former Member

Hi all,

We have developed a workflow for approval of attendance in a training session.

The approval tasks of this workflow have an attachment that represents the key of the workflow and this attachment is linked to the employee attendance history.

The object category type of this WF is BOR.

Is it possible to hide these attachments? For example: configure the UWL xml to hide these attachments for a specific task?

We have 2 other WF (Class category type) and these attachments don't appear in UWL.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Andre Sousa

Thanks

Solution:

Attached Business Objects

You can hide attached business objects in UWL work

items or even replace the standard attachment call with

your own application using the Object Visualization section

of transaction SWFVISU. Leaving the Method Name

blank and setting the Visualization Type to Object Not

Represented will hide the attachment completely.

Any other visualization type means that the

attachment will link to the specified application rather

than the default method for that object, for example, to

a Web Dynpro application that gives a summary of the

requested absence.

Andre, I read your Solution & it's not quite working for me. I also need to hide the Attachments in most of the HCM Forms steps. At 1st I tried clicking on "Object Visualization" & entered the below data, but it didn't work. Do I need to put any specific Vis Params/Values?

Obj Type = CL

Obj Type = CL_HRASR00_WF_COMPONENTS

Method = blank

Vis Type = NONE

Then I chose a specific Task & clicked on "Visualization Parameter" which prompted me in a popup for the "Work Area: Entry" that always returns the message "No entries found that match selection criteria". Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanx,

Jeff

Do you know any work around?

Something I have to change in WF (for example)

Do you know the reason that for BOR object category type this attachment appears and for CL category type does not?

Thanks a lot!

I've already read about this. But this actions apply for all tasks in UWL. I just wanted to hide a specific task type.

Thanks,

Andre

Thanks... I've already configured before the uwl with this XML but I don't know if there is a tag to hide the attachments from a specific item type criteria. Do you know if it is possible?

Thanks for your cooperation.
