Please expalin me ,when will be the MAP gets negative for Raw material with price control V?

if there exists a price for the material, it will never becomes negative.while doing transactions if proper postings are not done ( inconsistancies) , system may provide such error message to check the same.

But i have tried the scenario with so may PO prices with new material ,but i dont get negative price.

Ex.PO price 1/pc qty 1000.

Current stock 1000 with total value 25 and MAP is "0".

Invoice is less than PO price,still there is no negative price.

Please give me the example so MAP gets negative for that material,so that i can understand about negative MAP.

Check your return POs that have value greater than the original receipt price.

one scenario I've found at our company that causes negative MAP value is sales returns (for warranty ) coming in at zero and then issuing out at MAP value.

Another problem we had in the past was mispriced POs. Example MAP = $10. PO price = $1000. We receive 5 and issue out 5. Then we invoice the receipt at actual value of $10. Kaboom.
