Hi Experts,

We are going to implement APO-DP with Characterstic Based Planning. How SNP-CTM accepts the characterstics and CTM plans at characterstic level or not?

Thanks,

Naveen

Hi Naveen,

Capable-to-Match (CTM) considers characteristics of configurable products

during planning and consumes receipts, based on identical characteristic

values, with the corresponding requirements.

CTM considers characteristics that are relevant for variant configuration or

for characteristics-dependent planning (CDP).

CTM plans for characteristics with the following pre-requisites,

1) You are planning with configurable products

2) For the configuration schema, you have chosen under Set Configuration

Relevance or Default for Configuration Relevance the setting Characteristics-

Dependent Planning (CDP) or Variant Configuration (VC).

3) In the CTM profile, on the Strategies tab page, you have chosen the Planning

Strategies subtab. Here you have selected the Consider Characteristics checkbox

4) You are performing CTM planning for a location product whose characteristics

are either relevant for variant configuration or for CDP.

If the products with which you are planning are configured for variant configuration

or for CDP, CTM considers the forecast data with your configuration and

consequently creates orders with the corresponding characteristic values.
