Pulling data from BW using XI3.0

Hi,

I want to pull data from BW using XI3.0, is that anyway to do it? I am totally fresh with BW. Can the pulling be done using RFC like what we getting data from ERP?

Unable to pull from XI, has to be trigger by BW in order to get data.
