Hi

First of all, check windows 7 is tested and found to be supported with CR XI/XIR2/2008?

You can check this [KBase|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/269562].

And also [this|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_erq/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes.do]

SP6 which is due out in a month or so will support windows 7.

In the mean time you can run a tool called process monitor from Microsoft and see it you can find the source of the missing file and error.

Thanks Don.

The export to MAPI function works well in windows XP, so I suspect it is a compatible issue in Windows 7.

Has this been fixed yet for CR2008. It doesn't work work with CR2008 SP3. Just downloaded and tested? Is there a time estimate of a fix?

Thanks

Update on this track.

It appears we now have to consider this to be an enhancement request. Microsoft broke backward compatibility for Windows 7 and Outlook 2007. CR officially only supports Outlook 97, 2000 and 2003.

What this means is we have to create a new set of functions to support MS's new Extended MAPI API's and because it's a major update it can only be released in a Service Pack and not a fix pack.

I'm trying to get this supported in SP3 but it may not be until CR2008 SP 4 due out in about a year.

Other option is to ask Microsoft to add the simple set of MAPI api's back into Outlook 2007 MAPI dll's.

Thank you

What's the status of this? Will the new APIs be added to CR2008 SP3 and when will it be available? What about CR XI R2? Thanks.

Hi Edmund,

Once post are closed we don't typically go back and watch them. There are also other post with this same issue.

Vincente logged a case I just updated him:

The scheduled release is as follows:

It's been fixed and set to be released in Fix Pack 2.6 for Cr 2008 and 6.2 for CR XI R2

Then again for 2008 FP 3.1 and SP 4

6.1 was just release a few weeks ago so 6.2 should be in 3 or so weeks. All depends on how the QA'ing goes.

I'll know better when we get closer to the expected release time.

For Cr 2008 I'll have to find the scheduled release date.

Thank you

We're looking for a status on this fix. Is it still scheduled for the XI R2 6.2 update? Is there an ETA on that release?

EDIT: It looks like 6.2 is available as a "Utility". I was expecting Service Pack or Hot Fix, sorry!

Hello,

The fix is available. To get this to work you'll have to take the long way round because of how the Fix Packs installs are limited to Support Contract customers only, they have to download the FP from Service Market place which requires a valid contract to get into.

For those who do not here are a few ways to get up to Service Pack 6.

If you are pre-SP 4 then un-install CR and download the full [SP4|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100011802732008E/crxir2_sp4_full_build.exe] build.

Install [SP6|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100015859952009E/crxir2win_sp6.exe] and then you need to deploy the runtime to get the dll for distribution separately.

Thank you

Due to the way Fix Packs are released for CR XI R2 it is not available to all users. Therefore for those who cannot get the update for CR XI R2 Fix Packs click on this [link|https://sapmats-us.sap-ag.de/download/download.cgi?id=V5UT03R6D1GGEFKZRBVY5Q47RV3CYRJ1Z7PGV22JJPW9SN5R0E] ( it's good 100 days from this date )

For CR XI R2 ONLY simply rename the u2dmapi.dll located in: C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\bin and replace it with the updated one.
