Client Copy Log errors 'DDIC Error (see SE14)

Hi

We have created a new Windows 2008/MSSQL2008 Netweaver 7.0 SR3 system (ECC6 SR3) from a heterogenous copy of an AIX/DB2 system of the same release.

I have come to create my first local client copy in the new system and as it proceeds I get messages such as follows:-

A001 SD-MD-CM DDIC Error (see SE14)

The list of tables affected is fairly extensive

When I look in the File Log from SCC3 i see the following:

You Cannot use the RFC/Server group public

Error: Table A001 error in DDIC - Check table with SE14

There is an entry similar to the second line above for each table it has a problem with. Not sure what the issue is or what I should be checking in SE14. Can anyone help? Thanks

I think you can fix that by setting an RFC group in RZ12.

Hi, thanks for that, our public group in RZ12 was still pointing at the source system instance. So I have updated that and the difference is that now the copy is using 7 processes on the server.

The issue with the DDIC Errors still remains though unfortunately.

Hi

Was the source system derived from a Unicode conversion ?

If it was check this note out 686357 I belive this will fix the DDIC error..
