Automatic TR not created when Production Order is released

Hi,

For a material automatic TR was not created when the production order is released.

For this material control cycle is not maintained.

Is it required for automatic TR creation?

Hi Vengata Raghavan,

Yes, u need to hav control cycle for the components for automatic TR generation.

You can create control cycle thro LPK1 transaction.

In general the creation of transfer requirement settings is done in production scheduling profile.

The various options are:

No creation of transfer requirements on order release

X Only creation of transfer requirements on release

1 Transfer requirement and transfer order on release

Therefore normally TR gets generated for all the items in the order at the time of release. After release if u add any line item in the order then separate TR gets generated for that particular item.

If you want to restrict that, if TR is not generated for any one of the item then u can restrict TR generation for all other items also by checking the tick box (Complete Transfer Requirement) in production scheduling profile.

Hi,

Yes it is required. Also check if a supply area is maintained in the work center & the production scheduling profile has automatic TR generation defined.

Maintain the control cycle & then go to production order & click on execute WM pick list, you should get the TR.
