IF U FOLLOW EXTERNAL MATERIAL CODIFICATION, THEN YOU CAN TREAT THESE AS RAW MATERIALS.. AND YOU CAN ALSO FORM A GROUP OF THESE MATERIALS WITH SIMILALAR SERIS MATERIAL CODIFICATION LOGIC... Using material code u can maintain in SAP and if critical materials are in same characteristic then u can create material type ..So give us some more details about ur requirement

MM01/MM02 > Purchasing > In other data/manufacturer data click in 'Cirtical Part'.
