please describe difference between f-02 and fb50

FB50 is the Enjoy SAP Transaction, that is user friendly. For F-02, you have to select posting key and all that!

FB50 is more user freindly and better from control point of view. Morever, if you are on document splitting and use F-02, splitting may not happen correctly. If your instance is in India and you use F-02 for booking vendor invoice, TDS details are not updated correctly in WITH_ITEM table correctly in some rare instances.

Dear,

There are few differences between F-02 and FB50 in the front end i.e. at presentation level but there is no difference at application level i.e. data is stored in the same table.

Front End differences are.

1. Posting key.

Posting key option is not available in FB50 whereas in F-02 it exist. Posting keys for FB50 are set. 40 and 50.

2. Document type

Document type option is not available in FB50 whereas in F-02 it exist. Document type SA is set.

Conclusion

FB50 is more user friendly that F-02.

F-02 is more versatile than FB50, wherein you can post enteries to your vendors, customer, GL.
