Xcelsius 2008 and BW : which connection for which use case

Xcelsius 2008 offers several connection options to BW and you may wonder which one is the right one for you.

Do I need BOE ? Which portal can I integrate with ? Can I use my dashboard off line ? Can I build a multi-lingual dashboard ?

Nice summary.

However I would suggest that you can use Query Caching with a LO-CR approach.

I have implemented the scenario whereby a parametized CR is scheduled, and the resultant LO feed can use the parameter to select the filter combination, thereby avoiding a hit to the backend. The change in parameter value only changes what is returned from the cached data in the latest instance of the CR report.
