Hi

Cutover Stretagy is final and very important step befor Go-Live, In this step we first decide till which date the lagacy data to be capture and uploaded in SAP. This lagacy data include the day to day transaction we preform in legacy system to run the business (e.g. sales order, delivery, invocie etc)

At the time of Cutover we stop the all business transaction in legacy and uploaded datatill that date in SAP. For uploading data definatly required some days and inbetween due to stoping business transaction in legacy these remain business transaction we need to manually update in PRD or main Server.

Hi ,

A cutover could be very exhaustive depending on the size of implementation but here are some general check list which can hopefully help you :

-- Freeze all data to be uplaoded from Legacy into system . This will be used to upload in system using LSMW or BDC. Make sure the customer code from legacy is transferred into sap system as a customer code .

-- Inventory details are updated accordingly in the system for intial stock reading .

-- Load all open orders like contracts, sales orders etc ..Load finished stock .

-- Finance should uplaod all the related receivabels and other stuffs.

-- After all these make your transports ready to be moved in sequential order to avoid any dependency errors and after go live errors.

-- Request client to stop invoicing and follow the steps else if parallel invoice happens , it will be be deadly .

-- Finally set all the number ranges and realted activities...

Cross your fingers and wait for that first invoice printed succesfully from your just live SAP system !!!
