VAT (Value Added tax) is local sales tax, upon trading within state in India,
CST (central State tax) is interstate sales tax, upon trading with different state in India.
If we transfer or sale goods from one state to another, CST applicable @ 2% against form "C". If the second party unable to provede C form then the CST would be charges @ 4%.
Other sales tax VAT which are 4%, 12.5% and 1 %. it's depend on state.
