Hi,

I asked a similar question in thread .

At the time, not all versions were supported.

Anyhow, the official supported versions have to be 7.6.4.x or higher - so 7.6.5.x from the SDN Download will be perfectly supported with VM scenarios.

Since then , I have MaxDB 7.6.6.3 running in virtualized systems.

Hi,

and how about you do if you need to increase I/O performance, what solution you use to separate log from data volumes?

Hi,

with some virtual server technology, you may assign a physical disk to a virtual partition.

When using a SAN, I am not sure if this applies.

VERY generic question - what "cloud" technology are you talking about?

Hi Markus,

sorry, its about virtual servers that you can expand the number of processors, memory and hard disk size, when you need that, without reinstaling all things of hosted OS again, its will be installed in a datacenter, but works like http://www.vmware.com/products/vsphere/

best regards
