Hi,
Greetings to all.
Would anyone let me know why we require minimum two background work processes for an sap instance?
Thanks & Regards,
Bittu
hi bittu,
who said that you need 2 background workprocess you can run your system without any background workprocess, just go change the parameter from RZ10 and see that your system will run fine, till you execute or set a background job..

Is it an interview question?

Hi,
You need at least two background wp for each SAP system.
But, you can configure more than one background wp for each dispatcher.
Bkground jobs can be scheduled with differnet priorities
Class A (High), Class B (Medium)and Class C (normal)
Job classes B & C can only be started if the defined number of Background WP
remains free for possible Class A jobs.
Thanks
Ahamed
