CCxxxx.<pid> file deletion - client copy log file

Hi everyone,

I am struggling to find some info or Note regarding the "Delete Log" option in SCC3. I am trying to clear some space in the usr\sap\trans\log and want to know more about the best practices regarding the CCxxxx.<pid> files that are created when a client copy is done. Using Delete Log from SCC3 doesn't actually clear the log at the OS level.

Does anyone know what the best way to get rid of the client copy files is? Is there an OSS Notes with more info and even a way of automatting the process?

Thank you

coco

Hi,

You can turn Archive Log off (DB2) or Redo Log off (Oracle) at DB level before starting the Client Copy.

Hi V,

Thank you but I don't want the log not to be generated in the first place but actually clear it once the client copy has been successfull and I don't necessarly needs to dive into the details of the log.

Ta!

There are simply logs created to trace the activity during the CC... if you don't need them anymore delete them, if you think you migh need them then keep a backup and remove them.
