Nafees,

There isn't any setting for default report download format in GRC AC. All the excel files downloaded from GRC AC 5.3 are in .xls format. It doesn't download them to .xlsx format.

For bulk data most of the GRC AC reports create multiple worksheets in same .xls file so that you can access entire data.

CUP reports had a limitation before SP09 where you could only download 65536 records(.xls limitation). But with SP09 CUP now creates multiple worksheets if data exceeds above that count. RAR has this feature for a while.

Which report are you trying to access? What is your current support pack level.

Thanks Amol for responding to my question. We are on GRC 5.3 RAR SP5. When I am downloading user analysis it breaks the file into small XLS file but when I download security report it tries to give me the whole thing as one file (XLS) and I am missing lines on that. The report that I am extracting is Action Usage by User. I can see the file should contain more than 65536 records but in the excel file that I extracted I can only see up to 65536 records. Please let me know if there is something we could do to get all the records in one file.

Nafees,

When I checked in a system on SP07 HF1, RAR does seem to download the action usage by user report in zipped .xls file with multiple worksheets (I wasn't able to verify completely because of lack of appropriate data.). Check if you can upgrade to the latest support pack.

If that is not an option for you then you can try following to download bulk data -

1) After report output appears, select print in RAR.

2) Print page will list all the records in one web page, you can then copy all the records into a .xlsx file.

This requires additional manual processing, but at least should provide you a way to download all the data.
