BP Number Range

Hi All,

I want to configure BP Number range based on BP role, Is it pssoible?

example - 3 start for contact person and 4 start for sold to party.

Plz advice me.

Hi Anil,

You need to define "BP grouping" and assign the number range to the grouping under SPRO>Cross Application Components>SAP Business Partner>Business partner>Basic Settings>Number ranges and groupings>Define Groupings and Assign Number ranges.

So when you create a Business partner from Tcode BP, you first select the grouping and then the BP role. This will result in adopting the number range you have assigned to that grouping for creating a BP for a particular role.

I found grouping can be assigned in Run time based on role. This can be achieved by implementing BP Events.

THnaks for the Help. I can able to generate BP number with Role specic based on BP EVENT but this is only working in SAP GUI but this is not working in Web UI. Is there any configuration will give that functionality or is there any BADI or User Exit available to achive this? Plz help on this
