Issue while creating an INIT for 2LIS_11_V_ITM

Hi ,

New INIT to Data source 2LIS_11_V_ITM is failing from R/3 to BW (at Infopacakge) after the BW system has been connected to a new R/3 system.

We have our quality system refreshed with Production system. Now we have deleted the earlier existing INIT and wanted to create a new INIT for a Data source from R/3 . How ever it is failing with this message'SUBRC= 2 connection closed (no data)'

new INIT s hapening for all other Data sources.

The connection between R/3 & BW is fine.

Your inputs are highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Ganesh Thota.

HI Mathieu,

This was due to some connectivity issue between systems. This was resolved after BASIS checking the RFC connection.

Hi Ganesh,

did you find a solution for your issue ? I encounter exactly the same issue today (same message, same datasource and same context), and don't know how to resolve it at the moment.

I tried all tips recommended in this topic, but every thing sounds good in RFC connection or ALE settings.

Thanks in advance for your help,

M.

Hi,

when the quality system is refershed with production system

the source system RFC destination change

in earlier SM59 the source logical id is quality now it is production'

when it is copied the client will chnage

basis people can help you out for this.

make sure the basis people run BDLS and change the logical source system name. Then you create RFC in SM59 and check the connection, check ALE settings in WE21,WE20.

have you tried the "test connection" in SM59 ? This is generally a RFC error !!

As rahul has suggested you should check the RFC connection.

You can also do it in RSA1 -> select source systems -> Right click on the source system and then select 'Check'.

If the check is fine then the RFC connection is ok ow you will have to setup a RFC from to the source system.

Before doing that please contact your basis team or the team which deals with RFC connections.

Dear ganesh,

Can you explain little more what is necessary to connect r/3 quality to bw production . Is there any testing purpose need to connect quality BW system only.
