cost center inheritance

Hi,

Has anyone experienced an issue where the assignment of a Cost Center to a subordinate Org Unit removes the Cost Center assignment of the higher level Org Unit? For instance, I assign cost center through A 011, then create a new subordinate org unit, and assign a cost center through A 011 there as well, then through PPOSE notice that the first Org Unit no longer has a cost center assignment, but instead has now inherited the master cost center from the higher level org.

All switches in PLOGI ORGA seem appropriate. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Did you also check in that table T77S0 there's another switch to enable/disable cost centre inheritance. if it's not disabled, you can try to do it mannually using PPOME you can disable the inherit function

Thanks for your reply. Do you know which Group in T77S0 this switch is? And how about in PPOME, where do you go to disable inheritance? Thanks again.

David, hi,

Check the time constraint for the relationship A/B011 betwen objects K and O. It looks like your system is set to allow only 1 Org. Unit for each K.

Hi Renato,

Thanks for your reply. I've checked time constraints in T77ZR and for K 1001 B011 O it is set to 2.

In V_T777ZIT, K 1001 B011 is set to 3.

I appreciate your insights. Regards, Dave.

Hi, David,

"T77ZR and for K 1001 B011 O it is set to 2" means that the system only accepts 1 org unit for each cost center. So, if you change this time constraint to 3, the system will allow you to use the same cost center for more than one org unit.

Hi Renato,

Thank you. This resolved my issue. Changed T77ZR K 1001 B011 O 2 to K 1001 B011 O 3. I appreciate your promptness.

Kind regards,

Dave.

Hi KishoreJ,

I have found a few OS notes that were helpful as well. 181784, 201886, and 300918. I didn't change a whole lot else, but I reviewed (did not change) V_T777ZIT for Obj Type K, Subtype B011 TC is set to 3.

Best regards,

Dave.
