Is PI/XI JMS compliant? Can one replace Sonic JMS provider functionality with PI ?

PI uses external JMS drivers to communicate to jms providers

no - but PI can send and receiver JMS messages

Thanks for your response. Can you please advise me on the scenario below?
In our IT organization we have both XI/PI and Sonic-Weblogic implementations.
Sonic- Weblogic:
We have deployed 20+ enterprise archive (EAR) files in Weblogic. Weblogic is configured to use Sonic. In each EAR file, as you can imagine we have message driven beans that intercept the messages published to Sonic Queues and topics. We have over 100 topics and queues in Sonic and Weblogic.
We would like to consolidate to one Integration system, namely PI.
Is it possible or advisable to move these message bus functionality into PI? Is there an Industry standard that we can follow and adhere to?
