PO Release strategy

Hi,

I have issue with PO release startegy, i.e there are 3 release code, R1.R2 and R3. I want the PO should be in

changable mode (ME22N) after the PO released by release code R1 , Once the 2nd release code R2, releases the PO, then my PO should not be in changable (ME22N) ,ie i must not be able to change the PO. Is it possible to make it in PO release strategy?

Dear Sir,

Will you explain why such requirement is there.

This can be fulfilled by Authorization.

Talk to your basis team on this.

You can also authorize few users to change on after R2 and restrict some. Or restrict all.

This can be achived by auth.

But After R2 is released you have to maintain specific releasae indicator. (SAY X)

Create AG with object - Object for checking authority to change PO and T-Code - ME22N.

Maintain Value for the field FRGKE - Release Indicator: Purchasing Document as "X"

If this AG's is attached to user then user will be able to change if not user will not be.

Plz discuss with BASIS team, they will be in better position to xplain this.

yes it is possible. go to po release strategy > go to release indicators

and check the options at "changeable" column and select the required option.

If I understood correctly ! I think Mariappan is talking about changes in PO after release code R1 and No changes in PO once released by R2, ...is that right Mariappan ?

By setting Release Indicator to any one of the options available in config it gives control to either change the PO during release or no changes at all during this phase but changes allowed at one release level and not to allow changes in the second level

I think it is NOT possible !

Hi

Next to release indicator in config you see changeble indicator. You need to choose not changeable option
