User Mapping for System Access - no system available

Former Member

Dear all,

I have created 4 back-end systems in my portal.

All of them - after starting a "Connection Tests", are reachable.

All 3 categories are green :

1. SAP Web AS Connection

2. ITS Connection

3. Connection Test for Connector.

Then, in my quality portal system, I open "User Admin" screen through http://sapepqua1.ersnet.org:50000/useradmin :

1. Configuration

2. Role - I enter "everyone"

3. I double-click on "Everyone" role

4. In "User Mapping for System Access", no system are available !

There is absolutely NO system.

Can you help me and let me know why ?

1. I have created a system alias per back-end system.

2. I have configured back-end system using the same configured used for back-end system configured in my dev portal.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Best regards

Dear all,

Please also note :

1. In system configuration

Authentication Ticket Type - SAP Logon Ticket

Logon Method : SAPLOGONTICKET or UIPWD

With both logon method settings, no system appear in my tab "User Mapping for System Access".

Hello,

Thanks for your input.

Let's take a full example :

1. In my development portail, I have created system called 'D1CCLNT100_UI_PWD'.

Logon Method : UIPWD

User Mapping Type : admin, user

2. In my quality portail, I have created system called 'Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD'.

Logon Method : UIPWD

User Mapping Type : admin, user

Then :

1. I open my dev portail - http://sapepdev1.ersnet.org:50000/useradmin

I choose "Everyone" group

I click on "User Mapping for System Access".

All systems are available.

2. I open my qas portail - http://sapqua1.ersnet.org:50000/useradmin

I choose "Everyone" group

I click on "User Mapping for System Access".

No system are available.

I have configured both system using exactly the same configuration.

I still do not know why system are available in dev portail and not available in qas portail.

Any inputs are very welcome.

Best regards

Hi CP,

Have you tested connection in the QAS Portal.

Please check as metioned above would help on this.

Also try to check with particular user then check for groups/roles .

Hope it helps

Hello Arun,

Thanks for your input.

1. In dev portail, the "Connection Tests" work

2. In quas portail, the "Connectin Tests" does not work.

So, logically, of course, the system cannot be available in http://sapepqua1.xxxx.org:50000/useradmin.

But, in my quality portail system, I have created 2 systems :

1. Q1CCLNT100

Logon Method : SAPLOGONTICKET

User Mapping Type : admin,user

"Connection Test" works without any problem.

2. Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD

Logon Method : UIPWD

User Mapping Type : admin,user

"Connection Test" does not work

I get the following error :

1. SAP Web AS Connection = OK

2. ITS Connection = failed

Linked Exception: Connection Failed: Nested Exception. Failed to get connection. Please contact your admin. Linked Exception: Connection Failed: Nested Exception. Physical connection was not initialized. Linked Exception: Connection Failed: Nested Exception. Failed in creating the JCO Connection. ->'user' missing

Hi CP,

If the logon method is LOGON TICKET for your system Q1CCLNT100, then User mapping type is not required.

In the system Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD, to resolve the ITS error make sure that the corresponding ITS path in the backend system is activated in the transaction SICF.

If the problem persists , re-create the system with proper parameters & permissions and check. It should work.

Hi CP,

Please check the below point might help on your issue :-

>>2. ITS Connection = failed

For ITS details for path and host name and other is "http". please check the ITS details at :

Loging to SAP System >> SE37 >> Utility >> Settings>> Poupup will open >> there is option Top + Right Corner >> Click on it >> you can see internet transaction serevr >> Click > here you can find ITS details for path and host name. updat to the System objct.

>2. Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD

>Logon Method : UIPWD

>User Mapping Type : admin,user

>"Connection Test" does not work*

Check the System Alias maaping with user / group and connector adn user administration properties.

For connector test >>> Check the connector properties and user administration properties. for successful test.

>Linked Exception: Connection Failed: Nested Exception. Failed to get connection. Please contact your admin. Linked Exception: >Connection Failed: Nested Exception. Physical connection was not initialized. Linked Exception: Connection Failed: Nested >Exception. Failed in creating the JCO Connection. ->'user' missing

You need to test whether you are able to ping your server or not (RUN >> Ping <host name>)

Update your server IP address and host name in host file entry at (RUN > drivers > etc > host file)

Hope it helps

Hello Arun,

Thanks for your input.

But :

1. Both Q1CCLNT100 and Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD are connected to the same back-end system - Q1C.

2. The only difference between Q1CCLNT100 and Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD is the "Logon Method" :

Q1CCLNT100 ==> Logon Method = SAPLOGONTICKET ==> Connection Test works.

Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD ==> Logon Method = UIPWD ==> Connection Test does not work.

The ITS error is not significant for me. I am 100 % sure that the ITS information for Q1CCLNT100 and Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD

are the same and correct.

Once again, the only configuration difference between both back-end system is the Logon Method.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Best regards

Pascal

Hi CP,

As per error mentioned above, user is missing.

Then please check whether user has proper authorization in sap backend system which you are mapping from user administrator.

Thanks

Hello Arun,

Thanks for your input.

1. The portal user are connected to an ABAP system : Q1C.

(UME Data Source = Q1C).

2. Each user created in Q1C is automatically created in Q1P (Q1P = portal system).

3. We are using the standard SAPJSF user (defined in UME Configuration)

4. Back-end systems :

Q1CCLNT100 connects to Q1C

Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD connects to Q1C.

Both back-end systems are connecting to the same back-end system.

So, which user were you thinking ? SAPJSF ?

Hi CP,

As you said there is problem with logon method "UDDIP". Here you can use Userid who have proper authorization in the backend or may be SAPJSF.

You can try with other user if possible.

Also please check the SAPJSF should have have two roles: SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION and SAP_BC_USR_CUA_CLIENT_RFC

Hope it helps,

Arun

Hello Arun,

Thanks for your input.

It is amazing :

1. Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD is a copy of Q1CCLNT100.

2. Q1CCLNT100 connects to Q1C using SAPLOGONTICKET Method.

The "Connection Test" works.

Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD connects to Q1C using UIPWD method.

The "Connection Test" does not work !!!

3. If I have the Logon method in Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD (using SAPLOGONTICKET),

the "Connection Test will work".

Hello Arun,

Thanks for your input.

But the only configuration difference between both back-end systems is the "Logon Method" :

1. SAPLOGONGTICKET for Q1CCLNT100 ==> it works

2. UIPWD for Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD ==> it does not work.

I will check if there are difference using Visual Administrator.

I definitively think that the back-end systems configuration is correct.

If you have any ideas regarding systems parameters defined with VA, I would appreciate your feedback.

SAPJSP user has the right roles.

Hi CP,

Please check the value for UIDPW:

Authentication Ticket Type : "Select"

Logon Method : "UIDPW"

User Mapping Field : BLANK

User Mapping Type : admin,user

Parameter which has set in VA, please check as per [SSO |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2370] [original link is broken];

Thanks

Hello Arun,

First of all, thanks for your great help.

I have finally found the reason of the error :

When you create a back-end system, you have "Objects", "Connection Test", "System Alias", "Delta Link Tracer" and "Permissions".

I have added group "Everyone" in "Permissions", with READ in "Administrator" and I have select (X) End-User.

Now, my back-end system Q1CCLNT100_UI_PWD appears in my "User Mapping for System Access".

Thanks Arun.

Many thanks for adding the actual resolution to the thread.  So many times, I'll read "I fixed it", without any details.  This was very helpful for me today.

Hi CP,

As you said all connection test is successful.

Please check the System Alias properly addded and save or not. if properly saved, then selected sign apprear in system alias.

Also check user administration properties. it should be admin and user for UDDIP.

Hope it helps,

Hello,

IF you are using Logon method as Logon ticket then User mapping is not nessccary.but if you select UID pass then User mapping nessccary.

Apptional to the comment which earlier mention by Reddy check User Mapping Type is admin, user exists or not?

May it will work for you.

Thanks
