EHP4 Upgrade Problems~

Dear Sir,

I need to upgrade SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 Ready to EHP4

During the phase PREP_EXTENSION/SELSTACKXML ,it occured error "The

stack configuration is not valid for the system E01, inst.-no INITIAL'",

I created a SMSDXML_E01_20100324092732.276.xml for the phase

from sulotion manager,but i don't understand why it still shows not

valid???

Hi,

Have you checked the log file of this phase ? Please paste here as well.

As per the error, it looks like that your System does not have an installation number defined. Perform below things then try

1) Install Permanent and maintainance license in the system. So that system should have an installation number defined.

2) Check System configuration in SMSY in solution manager.

3) Also, check SAP Note 1134872 - Maintenance Optimizer FAQ for Stack Delta Files

According to your described,can you tell me how to do step by step? or there is an guilde to show me the procedure?

How to do it?Is there a guide or documents?

You mean I should add my system in solution manager? I already did it so that I can download EHP4 resource to source system.

3) Also, check SAP Note 1134872 - Maintenance Optimizer FAQ for Stack Delta Files

One more question,actually I don't know how to configure solution manager after installed it,this time I used the solution manager in my company to doing the EHP4 upgrade,but our customer's solution manager haven't configure yet.

please also tell me what exactly necessary I should do and is there any step by step guide?

02) - Initialize phase SELSTACKXML to restart it from the beginning

03) - Restart the current module from the beginning

04) - Exit this program

Choose action: Repeat phase SELSTACKXML to continue at the point it stopped

Please specify a valid Enhancement Package stack configuration. The ADD-ON and

Support Package selection in the BIND_PATCH phase is taken from there. For

more information, see SAP Note 1022704 .

You need to include an Enhancement Package into the procedure. Please refer to

the manual for further information.

You have to provide the xml file created while downloading the files using solution manager. The file is in the usr/sap/trans/EPS/in directory of the solution manager you can copy the file from there and put it in the local system and give that path to EHPI or if you have a rfc defined to the solution manager system you can provide the RFC and the EHPI will get the file automatically .

Dear All,

Thanks for your all reply,

I download the stackfile from solution manager with maintenance optimizer.

and THE EHPI move to the next step,

but there is another error occured.

it shows:

No matching SAINT package for 'IS-CWM' found.

So I download the 'IS-CWM' and decompress it and puted it into the EPS/in box.

but not working...

Please help ~ what should i do next?
