One NT Account to authenticate and connect to both CMS DB and AUDIT DB.

All:

Please, could you confirm than one NT account for the CMS to connect to both CMS DB and AUDIT DB (running on SQL server DB) is recognized as a good strategy?

- Usually, we advise to use 2 DB accounts, one to connect to the CMS DB and one to connect to the Audit DB.

- In our case, the CMS is using NT authentication (through the ODBC driver), so there is no way to specify 2 DB accounts to connect to the 2 schemas.

Thanks in advance!

1 account is fine, we consolidate all the time from older docs that used to indicate more than 1.

The primary advantage of using multiple is that when logging on the DB, or other you can see which process is hitting it. Since only yhe CMs would hit either the CMS DB or auditing DB then it really shouldn't matter.
