Hi,
I customized the retrofit scenario.
It all works fine until I get to the point where I have to start the retrofit.
I have done a normal correction with a simple customizing and brought it into test.
Then I started the retrofit.
In the upcoming popup for retrofit I assigned a transport request, which was created in the retrofit-system earlier.
When I select the request and press the button "Retrofit" nothing happens.
Normaly the BC-Sets should be started I think.
But I do not get any response or popup of that.
Am I doing something wrong or is something missing?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Regards,
Alex
I have the same problem , but I have two errors in the SLG1
My Scenario is following:,
I'm trying to establish retrofit functionality (my cookbook is this SDN link ) but constantly having problem with creation of the BC sets, I went through the SDN link several time and I've checked RFC contentious and authorizations (with authorizations trace ST01 and with SAP_ALL profile) hundreds of time but still nothing I even went to the development client and created BC set manually , everything works ok , but through the CHARM I getting the same annoying error every time!
Object that I'm planning to transport is transportable via BC sets, DEVELOPER has all necessary authorizations, I activated BC set deletion Functionality,...etc
Errors:
BC Set ZCHARM_M000000102_SM4K900637 activation error
Retrofit incorrect or incomplete for transport request SM4K900637
Message no. /TMWFLOW/TRANSPORT_N697
Runnig SOLMAN -Oracle W2K EHP1 - SP22

Hi Alex,
In which SP level is your SolMan ?
Kind regards,
Stéphane.

Hi Alexander,
this is almost always an authorization issue. Error messages from SAP in retrofit are very poor, so you might have to trace or debugg to find the actual error.
But you should have a look at the following authorization objects in both SolMan and the satlellite systems (if they exist there):
S_RFC_ADM
S_BCSETS
Hope this helps,
Christoph

Hi Alex,
do you have SAP_ALL and S_RFCACL in SolMan, the development system of the maintenance landscape and the development system on the project landscape?
If so, authorizations should really not be the problem. You could try to debugg the retrofit popup, details for debuggung of popups see here:
[http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/DebugthePOPUP]
Retrofit does not give any informations to the user about missing authorizations, it always shows the general error!

Christoph
Hi,
I solved the issue.
The reason was that in my test scenario the retrofit system has the same client as my ChaRM client.
In that case no popup for the BC-Sets come up. Furthermore the BC-Sets were created in background.
After I changed the scenario to another retrofit client than my ChaRM client it works fine.
Thanks for all your help.
Best regards,
Alex
Hi Alex,
would be so kind and describe us in more detailed what was your scenario (client configurations , is it test scenario or real landscape)? In my case I follow the SDN [coockbook|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/15616] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];
Would you be so kind and give us more details!
I,m still getting the same error like I told you in my previous reply!
Errors:
BC Set ZCHARM_M000000102_SM4K900637 activation error
Retrofit incorrect or incomplete for transport request SM4K900637
Message no. /TMWFLOW/TRANSPORT_N697
Thanks in advance for your effort

Hi Boris,
in my case I did not get any error. It still is doing nothing when pressing the button retrofit.
The solution for that was in the logical components and in the scenario at all.
I tried the same like you. I implemented the retrofit scenario like described in the cookbook.
Two logical components:
1) MXD:951 -> MXD:952 -> MXP:953 Retrofit: MXE:900
2) MXE:900 -> MXD:952 -> MXP:953
The charm client is MXE:900.
And that was the problem. I have had an active charm in MXE:900 and also defined to the same sid and client the retrofit system.
As I changed the scenario to the following all works fine.
1) MXD:900 -> MXD:952 -> MXP:953 Retrofit: MXE:951
2) MXE:951 -> MXD:952 -> MXP:953
Hope I could help you.
Regards,
Alex

your above quote means that in your retrofit project (Solar_project_admin) implementations landscape is number 2) , and maintenance landscape is 1)??
The whole retrofit scenario is implemented on the one SID like is in the cookbok , or you implement it on the real R3 systems. (MXD MXE MXP)??

Hi Boris,
that was my fault.
In my scenario I have the MXD for Dev and QA.
The MXP is a separate system for simulating PROD.
The correct log. components are:
Maintenance: MXD:951 -> MXD:952 -> MXP:953 Retrofit: MXD:900
Implementation: MXD:900 -> MXD:952 -> MXP:953
Its the same described in the cookbook except the two systems (MXD & MXP).
Regards,
Alex
