labelling system in functional location

Hello friends,

Can someone please explain the phisical significance of labelling system and alternate labelling system,

and also there importance from SAP point of view.

A few pointers..

The labeling system, which is controlled by the structure indicator of the FL, provides the ability to Specify and Monitor the generic structure of the FL label. This label cannot be changed once its created.

Alternative Labelling provides the ability to assign several labels to a existing FL to enable different views of existing FL. You will have to define one label as Primary and the Others as alternative label type per your needs.
