Export Drill down report to excel

I have a drill down report that i need to export to excel.To get the drill down, I used 'HIDE' option for the details. The drill down works in crystal.But when I export the crystal report to excel, I could not see the hidden details.Is there any way to view the hidden details when exported to excel.

Optimize the report for exporting, don't hide the details section.

Have 2 versions of the same report, one optimize to be used in the viewer and one optimized to export to Excel.

No, if you hide the details it won't export. This has been a back and forth question for s long time, some want it some don't. At this time the Don't's are winning...
