And how to send alert to multiple mail Id's??

Ans:

You will assign the fixed recipients for your alert category[ALRTCATDEF] . This user will have a internet email ID maintained [SU01]. Configure SAPconnect [transaction SCOT] and this will inform the recipient of an alert.

Further : A system administrator determines the recipients of a particular alert category in the definition environment (transaction ALRTCATDEF). The administrator can define individual recipients (using Fixed Recipients) or roles (using Recipients Via User Roles). If a role is specified, all recipients who have the assigned role receive the alerts of the category in question.

And how to send alert to multiple mail Id's??

Ans:

Maintian a distibution list with all the recipients inforamatiom and trigger the alert to this distribution list. [ possible both in your mail server or from SAP]

Hi,

For sending the alerts to multiple persons, business ppl dont have SAP id's in XI system

How to proceed for this

Is it possible to send the e-mail even thought if they don't have SAP id in XI System??

No need to have SAP dialog user to receive the alerts from XI

1. You can have DUMMY alert user which will be kept in Fixed recipients of your Alert category

2. Maintain the mail ID( alert@xyzcompany) for this DUMMY user

3. Ask the business MAIL administator to maintain "alert@xyzcompany" as distirbution list/email group and add all the user who wants to receive the alerts...

Hi,

With out maintaining the Dummy user in fixed recipients of Alert Category , is there any way that we can forward the alerts to business people from RWB??

must we need to maintain User in fixed Recipients ???

If must, we can have the real user itself to the business users instead dummy User

Just maintain a DL which has all the user-ids (same domain) and then create a user-id for this DL in SU01 and add it to the fixed recipients list.....this is what is followed normally in projects.

Hi,

As part of sending the alert to multiple persons,

I have created one user in SU01 and Added mail id there

And Added this User in Fixed Recipients at ALRTCATDEF

Triggered Alert, but Newly added user did not get mail.

Do we need to do any other settings other than these???

I want to know is there any job should be scheduled to send E-mails out from XI system Periodically?
