Diagnosis

In certain circumstances, the handling unit does not have a SSCC number.

Procedure

Check in Customizing for the handling unit whether a SSCC number was assigned during number assignment to the packaging material type.

R/3 Customizing IMG -> Logistics - General -> Handling Unit Management -> Basics -> Define Packaging Material Types

Hi -just curious if anyone has an answer to this? Running into the same issue. Have two Packaging Material types created, one with SSCC18 assignment at creation and with number range assignment = HU_VEKP.

We cannot print for the HU_VEKP due to the check digit error.

How do we get around that? How do we assign so it picks up Ai "92" for HU_VEKP material type and "00" for SSCC18?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Make sure you have maintained correct settings in below IMG:-

1) SSCC Generation Acc. to EAN128-->Maintain SSCC Generation for Each Plant / Storage Location

2) HUM>Basics>Technical Basics

3) And maintain the settings for Output determination for HU in NACE transaction

I think in case a handling unit uses a different number other than the SSCC number range this issue is coming up.

So is it only when you preview or even when you print the label does not have the barcode?
