Workitem is not created after event Tiggering

Hi,

Upon raising the event,I couldn't find any event traces at SWEL(trace was switched ON) and workitem is not getting created .I tried SWU_OBUF,PPWFBUF and refreshed the organization settings at SBWP.But, there is no use.

Then I checked the transaction code SM58 and the error is "Operating system cannot close file dev_PrintTrace"

Please let me know what will be the problem .Thanks in advance.

Hi Suubaraman,

This is a Basis Issue. Think your SAP is running on UNIX. Ask your Basis Team to check "If the file system is full". I have faced this issue and not sure if the above terminology is right. But am sure this is because of a folder in UNIX which is full and some old files need to be moved or deleted. You can also find the same error related Dumps in ST22 which will give you a clearer idea.

Hi,

When I looked up the issue, I found this as a possible solution for

"Operating system cannot close file dev_PrintTrace" - ask your BASIS consultant to increase the buffer size.

Kind Regards,

Can you please let us know how exactly you are trying to raise a event, I mean through progrmatically .. By using function modules like SWE_EVENT_CREATE or SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT or by using standard SAP classes then make sure after you raise the event insert COMMIT WORK statement.

If you have already included a commit work statement then make sure that you have made the workflow template as General task i mean the agent assignment for the workflow template is made as general task.

After this try to refresh teh buffer and Org. Assignment...
