Any transaction that can help with masscreation of materials, I have to create around 20 000 new materials and need a mass creation function.

i will suggest simply use develop a BDC bcos u r volume of materials are 20000.( take ur ababper help)

LSMW is the best consultant tool i did about 120,000 material upload in 30 minutes with so many fields information to upload the new creation of materials.
you can also use BDC by getting help from ABAP.

It is possible to create huge material at one time using LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench)
OR
using BDC (Batch Data Communication) with the help of ABAP.
Discuss with your consultant and accordingly you will do it.
