ACT_UPG phase in EHP4 SPS05 upgrade

Hi,

I am in phase ACT_UPG fo EHP4 SPS05 upgrade in ECC 6.0 on Oracle and UNIX.

Its the fourth day in this phase and i can see that upgrade runs and updates the file SAPAB70014.HD1 in tmp folder.

I have checked in shadow instance and the jobs are completing successfully.

Everytime all the files from tmp folder disappear and the upgrade stops with tp return code 8 which I can see from the logs but there is no message from EHPi console.

When I again start the upgrade from EHPi with option 1 i.e continue ACT_UPG from where it stopped it runs again, so I am assuming it is going into loop.

I have recently upgraded my SandBox systems and did not recieve any issue in this phase. Please can you explain if this normal or should I continue with the process of running it again till the time it finishes.Also there is no error message from EHPi console.

Hi Sunny,

This is really strange.

During my second run yesterday i chose 3rd option but today when i started with the 3 option it worked fine.

So all in all it took 5 days to complete ACT_UPG phase in my system.

This is not strange, sometimes during upgrade, upgrade tool tries to activate some obsolete objetcs which is no more required in new release. So, by choosing this option we can overcome this problem. But you should use this option after checking all logs.

Could you please try with option Accept Non-Severe Errors and repeat phase ACT_UPG ?
