Is it possible to setup two release strategy for PO in one client?

Hi! all,

Our SAP is on ECC6 release. Currently, the release strategy for PO is at header level with one material group for all PO line items. If PO has more then one material group at PO line item level for several lines, system will not trigger the release strategy.

My problem now, I have to configure 2 release strategy for 2 different companies as follows:-

1. Company (A) having PO release strategy at header level

2. Company (B) having PO release strategy at PO line item level.

Question:-

1. Is it possible to have two PO release strategy in one client.

2. If possible, what is the steps for me to setup PO release strategy at line item level.

Hi Moktar,

In PO Release strategy there no possible way to create Item level release.

Since this is a external level document the system not allow to take release decision at item level.

Is it possible to have two PO release strategy in one client at header level.

You set 1 release strategy with one materail group with relevent release code.

another release strategy with all material group with all relevent release code.

this will achive your requirement.

for PO we cant go for itemised release as the PO is to be confirmed at header (means all items at a time)

in PO system provid us Procedure with classification which only can be used for the HEADER level release

yes u can have two release startegies but for this u have to differentiate the charecteristic of material grp or plant etc.

in this case the release group will be same.
