Runtime error RFC_NO_AUTHORITY

Former Member

Hi all,

after upgrade di XI 3 Sp3 (WebIntellingence, no Crystal) we see lots of errors in BW (transaction ST22) with message

RFC_NO_AUTHORITY

...

The user "XXX" attempted to execute a function module from

the function group "/CRYSTAL/PERS", but does not have the appropriate

RFC authorization.

Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "/CRYSTAL/SAPLPERS" had to be terminated because it

has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

Does anyone know about this error? Is there something to add to BW roles? I looked at the install guide and this is not mentioned for WebI

Thanks in advance

Hi,

did you import the ABAP Transports and assign the necessary authorizations ?

see the installation guide for the SAP Integration Kit for details

Hi,

ABAP transports have been imported, as far as authorizations go we read chapter 13 of the install guide we did what is listed under "From within InfoView" while /CRYSTAL/PERS is in "From within Crystal Reports" which we thought was to be ignored since we are not using Crystal.

Do you think both should be applied even if one doesn't use Crystal?

Hello,

this is a general error given by your SAP BI server in regards of user not authorized to use specific function.

Any function referencing \crystal\ namespace are related to the XI integration kit for SAP.

So please check the authorization section of the install guide that comes with the XI integration kit for SAP (Not the regular install guide with WEBI and XI).

This section of that guide will list all the authorizations that need to be given/set for a given role/user.

Regards,

Duncan
