Former Member

we performed the basic installation of SAP Portal (J2EE) using a local SLD. After the installation was performed successfully, we cannot find the J2EE system in our SLD. Any ideas why?

Tiberiu

Hi Tiberiu

As I understand it you mean you installed a J2EE selecting Local J2EE option during sapinst

This may not itself register the J2EE in its own SLD Technical Landscape - I think this just means the J2EE is not to be registered

in a central or remote SLD

In order to register a J2EE in the technical system landscape of any SLD - you must use the SLD Data Supplier

tab in the Visual Administrator - entering the details of the target SLD (which can be any SLD you wish - including the

local one)

Also you should be aware that you can also manually add a J2EE to SLD - however I would recommend automatic

registration to ensure any changes are updated automatically to SLD

Best wishes

Hi,

Local SLD means system which you installed will be its own SLD. If you want it to add in some other SLD then You have to change SLD settings in visual admin.

Thanks
