Funny comments in Standard SAP programs!!

Former Member

Got this as a email forward, but was quite suprised to know the comments really exist in SAP Standard programs

I guess many of them might be aware of it. This is for those who are not:-)

Check these out

1) In the standard Include RSINFF01, line number 3606.

2) The header of the include LV61BMES

3) The best one: line no 61 in the include MV45AF0T_T001W_SELECT.

Hi Vik,

Long back i came across a comment in one of the standard include just before the statement call customer function ....

it was like "Do not raise any error messages in this exit...It will bite your ass' )))..... I exactly don't remember the include name.

I guess we could scan for "ass" using RS_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN but the OO folks have ruined it for us with their comments about "class" things.

I think when OO really takes off into mainstream debugging-mode, then the F5 folks will be able to contribute a lot to this thread.

Cheers,

Julius

Hi,

The include is LCORFF1K.

But now it has been removed

Earlier it was

  • Customer-Exit ist aktiv

  • Möglichkeit kundenspezifischer Ergänzungen

  • ATTENTION: Here it is forbidden to send a dialog (No message,

  • NO call screen..)

  • otherwise it will bite you in the bum

But now it is

  • Customer-Exit ist aktiv

  • Möglichkeit kundenspezifischer Ergänzungen

  • ATTENTION: Here it is forbidden to send a dialog (No message,

  • NO call screen..)

This was highlighted i this thread long before

I also noticed that SAP removed many of them, so I found an old 46C system and screen shotted about 50 of them, printed them in colour and framed them.

I have them in my office at home, and when I am in doubt then I walk around and read through some of them to get back to reality and restore my sense of humour.

There are some which are not in these various threads, but they are in German. When everyone from India stops speaking SMS then I will try to translate and publish some of these linguistic gems - unfortunately much of the humour is lost in translation.

Cheers,

Julius

Hi,

It's nice to see that SAP programmers are actual human beings able of having fun and not some zombie robots !

Hello Oliver,

Yes good to know that they are humans and not robots But thought it was a bit too bold for them to have left those comments in something which is used worldwide by millions of people.

Next closest (but not what you are looking for) is:

I also remember the thread you are refering to. It was created by a user called Martin Cerono or something like that, right? I think the name was "Mechtilde". Indeed, that one seems to be gone as I cannot find it either.

I think the name was "Mechtilde".

Ahh... Thats the right spelling. I guess. Bravo!

Well then we should ask Mechtilde herself. I heard she works for SAP

ps: We have a winner in Mylène Dorias !!!!

Among the many tries, I had actually even searched with Who the f is... but with no success

pps: Julius, look what Google has thrown at me

You seem to be obsessed with Mechtilde. Hahaha
