LO Cookpit: when to set Job Control?

Former Member

For LO Cookpit, we know that we have to run:

1. LBWG to delete the setup table content;

2. Fill in set up table;

3. Conduct the initial load/extraction from R3 to BW.

The Job Control setting in LBWE would set a scheduled job to run (hourly/daily) to place modified data into delta queue. We are not sure when we would conduct the Job Control settings, this step should be placed in between No.2 and No.3 listed above or just placed after No. 3 listed above?

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

So following will be the steps you need to follow.

1. LBWG to delete the setup table content;

2. Fill in set up table;

3. Conduct the initial load/extraction from R3 to BW.

4. Set the Job Control to "Active". This is the one that will run periodically to get delta records.

      • assign points if useful ***

Thanks,

Hi Kevin

You have to schedule Job control after step 3 - that means after Initial data load is completed from R/3 to BW. Since this extraction creates a pointer for delta extraction, AFTER THIS , you have to start Job control (delta collector job).

The job control is at the application level (02-Purchasing , 04-Production)that means it collects delta for particular applicatiion(for all active datasources under a particular application)

Hope this is clear to you

Hi,

The Job should be started(should be turned in to active) only after completion of Delta initialization.

So start it after your step 3 completion.
