Hi SAP Experts,

I am installing ECC 6.0 SR1 EHP4 with DB29.1 on AIX6.1 but durning Import ABAP , I am getting error

SAPAPPL2' import package is interrupted with R3load error.

SAPAPPL0' import package is interrupted with R3load error.

SAPSSEXC' import package is interrupted with R3load error.

I am attaching all the logs import_monitor,import_monitor.java, SAPAPPL2,SAPAPPL0,SAPSSEXC

Kindly help me to come out from this error.

Hi All,

Just contributing from my side. I faced the same issue and non of the above solutions helped me. You can check the Objectname.cmd file in the installation directory( for example SAPSSEXC.cmd in my case).

This would show you the list of files from the installation directory where the objects are being fetched. Once you find the installation files you just need to download those installation files again and start the fresh installation from the beginning. Mostly it will be Installation export I and II.

The outline is, these files may be corrupt

Hi Bilal,

Please check if R3trans process is running at OS level and sapinst_instdir folder to check if there are any files getting modified.

Yes R3load.exe is listed in task manager and the files in the sapinst dir are last modified 8 hours ago, the installation seems idle. I stopped installation and ran again, you know if installation is stopped at import abap phase and re-run it then it really mess things up, hell lot of errors, currently getting error 32 "the process can not access file, file used bt another process". Restarting server seems valid options, isn't?

Yes, it in deed creates few issues. If you have time you can try to troubleshoot.

Otherwise I recommend you to stop installation, delete sapinst_instdir folder and start installation again.

what I did?

1) stopped installtion

2) restarted server

3) started oracle listener service

4) tested db connection and make sured that db is up

5) re-ran setup from sapinst_dir, (continue old installation from import abap)

it sucessfully went beyond "running 1, waiting 1"

Hi,

We have faced the same issue and resolved by adding the data files. We got this error while importing from oracle to max db on windows OS.While importing lat twp processes are hanged and in waiting status for long time.We found that database is full and increased the space in order to resolve the issue..

I am also facing similar issue on Windows Server 2003 and oracle 10.2 during installation of IDES.

Could you let me know what are the next steps. I have oracle installed in S: drive with 551 GB space free.

Hi Sudipta,

Did you check SAPSSEXC.log yet ? May be we can find something specific there.

And at the same time, I hope you are using latest kernel (modified kernel dvd - latest R3load etc.).

In the installation directory , there would be a file import_monitor_cmd.properties , edit this file and in the loadArgs add the

-merge_bck option . This would merge the bck file and TSK file when you next rerun the import .

make sure you have not fiddled with the bck or the TSK file in the meantime. This happened because of the abrupt termination of the import . This should solve the problem as R3load would drop the object or truncate the data depending on the requirement.

Standard error output: sapparam: sapargv( argc, argv) has not been called. sapparam(1c): No Profile used. sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline - it's one of most common errors encounterd during ABAP import. There could be multiple reasons behind it.

From the log you mentioned there is another error that might point some insight i.e. :-

Please try the following steps :-

1) Stop the SAPinst completely.

2) Relogin with <Sid>adm id

3) SAPSYSTEMNAME env variable should have been set as = <SID> if it's not please change the same. Also check DEFAULT.PFL file value for SAPSYSTEMNAME = <SID> parameter.

4) Check R3trans -d output

5) Run SAPinst again (make sure old .TSK files /tmp is not used)

6) Check whether ABAP import now runs fine for those failed packages
