Budget-Main Budget not visible

Have an issue with Budget setup.

1. Fiscal Years currently existing in system are: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010.

2009 fiscal year is from 1/Oct/2008 to 30/Sep/2009.

2. In Budget, there is a Main Budget - 01/01/2009 visible but this Main Budget is not visible in any Budget Scenarios.

When I open Budget Scenarios window, I can only see Fiscal Years 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

I do not see any fiscal year starting 01/01/2009 at all.

3. In the Budget Scenarios window, if I select 2009, I do not see any rows - not even Main Budget!!! If I try to add row, I get error message asking me to first delete Main Budget - 01/01/2009 - but I do not see this on any scenarios screen.

Need to create a Main Budget for 2009 but cannot do so.

It may be possible that there was earlier a Posting Period starting 01/01/2009 for which a Main Budget was created and then the Posting Period deleted. The Budget probably remains in the system. Working on 2007A, SP01, PL05.

Any ideas?

A question: In Budget, there is a Main Budget - 01/01/2009 visible. Can you do anything about it? Is it grayed out? Budget should not be in conflict with your financial year. The record you can see must be out somehow.

I am able to change the Budget figures in it. But right click only gives option of copy but no delete.

\The main thing is that all fiscal years should have at least one Budget called Main Budget- but in this case, 2009 fiscal years all rows are blank!

I think the issue is probably related to SAP Note 1300679 but not sure.

Have you tried CTRL I to add a new budget for the fiscal year?

I tried it and got message:

"Cannot create budget for the selected fiscal year. Delete the budget defined for the fiscal year first. 01/01/2009u201D

Pls check this following note 1300679 :

Cannot create Budget Scenario for a period with no scenario
Symptom
Youwork in a company that has more than one period defined (Administration -> System Initialization -> Posting Periods).
You try to create a Budget Scenario for one of the periods (Financials -> Budget Setup -> Budget Scenarios).
In certain cases, when you will open the 'Fiscal Year' drop down list, you will not see all the periods that exist in the company.
Other terms
Same Period, Previous Scenario, posting periods, Sub Period, Old, Before, Main Scenario, Future, Year, Months, Quarters
Reason and Prerequisites

Solution
SAP intends to provide patches in order to solve described problem.
The section Reference to related Notes below will list the specific Patches when available.
The corresponding Info file of Patches on SAP Service Marketplace will show the correction / SAP Note number also.
Be aware that these references can only be set at Patch release date.
SAP will deliver Patches only for selected Releases at its own discretion, based on the business impact and the complexity of the implementation.

If the symptom in the note is happened on your side, then you must upgrade the SBO PL version you are using now

Thanks-but I had already referred to this same note in the thread above.

This Note says the issue will be resolved in SP01-PL06.

The release notes of SP01-PL06 also mentions that this issue rsolved in this patch.

The database is currently on SP01-PL06.
