Hi,
We are planning to implement Incentive and commission management. But I havent come across any best practice document or config steps for this functionality.
I am trying to use help.sap.com but when I try to create my application and select pacakges for it I get following error
Error in package dependencies
Message no. CACSPACK012
Diagnosis
While reading the packages, the system detected errors in the standard packages and package dependencies.
System Response
Due to these inconsistencies, the process is being canceled to avoid further errors.
Procedure for System Administration
This error can only be corrected by SAP. Contact SAP support.
Internal error description: Cannot resolve package dependencies for package CA.
Also, there are not many proper threads on this topic. Lets keep sharing our experienes and steps here so that we have a common proper thread on this topic.
Regards,
Hamed
Before generating the ICM application you would have to do certain steps like modelling (adding commission relevant attributes for your business ojects ).
For package dependency error you can have a look at note number 1475208.

Thanks Manas.
Sap suggested to manually implement note 0001374999. I am in process of doing it.
There doesnt seem to be best practice for icm.
Is it possible for you to list steps which one should go about to implement icm. Like the one you listed about attributes. It will be really helpful. Thx.
Adding to what Manas mentions, Commissions management is one space where it doesn't make sense to have a best practice. How you want to compensate an employee or partner is something every company wants to implement uniquely. i.e. the rules of company A do not match rules of company B. That is the USP of the compensation plan, unlike other areas where you want to standardize to the most effective way of doing business.
Hence SAP cannot provide you with a best practice for this solution.
Regards
Rahul
