2EETW169 no connect possible: "DBMS = ORACLE

Dear Experties,

I need your help to our problem. in 7 August 2010, our SAP Production will doing Backup offline, so the application will shutdown.

Because our system use Clustering, so we shutdown our SAP using clustering.

We check the clustering and there some service is hang, so admin kill the process.

When we want to start up the SAP, the clustering is not want to up. so admin use manual script to run cluster.

The SAP in TENR3P01 is up, but in TENR3P02 is not.When I start manually in TENR3P02, is still cannot up. The massage is "ABAP Database is not available via R3trans".

This is log in trans.log in TENR3P02.

There is one thing my Admin OS do, He copied file /oracle in TENR3P01 to TENR3P02.

my OS is HP UX 11.31 and SAP R/34.7 Oracle 10g

We use Service Guard for Clustering.

Our primary node is ten3p01 and alternate is tenr3p02.

We always stop and start sap using clustering (cmhaltcl -f and cmruncl).

but in 7 august, when we halt clustering, there are services is still running so that clustering cannot stop.

so, our admin os kill the services.

and when we are going to run clustering, there some problems and it have to run manually. The HP support team remote our OS to handle this problem.

unfortunately SAP system in tenr3p02 didn't run.

and I have to run manually using startsap R3 D01 (because we only use Dialog work process in tenr3p02)

but it can't run .The massage is "ABAP Database is not available via R3trans".

I run script R3trans -D, and there are message "2EETW169 no connect possible: "DBMS = ORACLE dbs_ora_tnsname = 'RP1' " R3trans_finished (0012)

Database Instance is in tenr3p01, our Central Instance is tenr3v01 and dialog instance is tenr3p02.

So it seems those who did the setup of HP Service Guard (and its integration with SAP) delivered a poor job. I hope you can tell them to repair it now!

And then ask for a knowledge transfer for you and your OS admin!

But I think it is far beyond the scope of a forum to set right what they did wrong.

unfortunately SAP system in tenr3p02 didn't run.

Try to check the dew_w0 log for this.

I run script R3trans -D, and there are message "2EETW169 no connect possible: "DBMS = ORACLE dbs_ora_tnsname = 'RP1' " R3trans_finished (0012)

Post the trans.log

Try to check tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora, and listener.ora files. Try to check connection using TNSPING also.

We don't know how your cluster are set'up .... What nodes are configured on one server and over ...

Why you copy the /oracle directory ?? From your expination nothing useful to understand what's going now.

You use the Service Guard cluster ? More information about node distribution and cluster configuration needed.
