Creating notification automatically when service order gets released

Hi,

Need your help... (in Plant maintenance)

I have a requirement in which when a service order (IW31) released, we should create a notification in background.

There is already a 'create' button in the screen in Service Order IW31 and if we click it will take to IW51 transaction to create the notification..

The same functionality to be provided in background when we 'release' the service order. and the notification number to be displayed in the notification field in the screen.

Hi,

You requirement can be met through configuration in PM by defining Order and Notification Integration where notification gets created in the back ground while saving the order. Goto sm30 enter view V_T350_NOTDAT and for your order types enter notification type , tick the notification , long text boxes.

I think the above should meet your requirement but if you want to get notification to be created in background while releasing the service order then you should be doing some development in user exit IWO10002 PM maintenance order: Customer check for order release ..
