Please clarify my understanding is correct.I cannot add more than one numeric and one alfa numeric external number range to the equipment category under one group.

Hi,

Yes, one internal (numeric) and one external number ranger per group is allowed. Each equipment category must then be assigned to a group.

Hi,

It can be a bit tricky to get insert mode, following should help:

OIEN

Select Maintain Groups icon

Choose from menu Group - Insert

Enter a title and number range details

Select green + icon to insert

Press SAVE icon to save

The new number range should now have been created.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for quick reply.

Another group is being created where in I need to add the equipment category to the existing group and insert interval to that particular equipment category only. I am able to insert only one external number interval to the newly created group but not the particular equipment category . The Check box for External number ranges is by default selected.

Please suggest is there another method of doing this or did I miss any customizing settings.

Thanks

Surya

Hi,

When you create a new group there is a popup where the number intervals can be specified. The first line allows you to specify the number range plus current number, this is an internal range. You can also fill in the second line with just lower and upper number range, this is an external number range.

Once that is done, assign equipment category to a group:

Run OIEN, Select maintain groups.

Tick the indicator beside the group you want to add the equipment category.

Highlite the 'not assigned' equipment category.

Choose select element (F2)

Click on assign element/group (F5)

The required equipment category should now show as part of the relevant group.

Save.
