RPM and PS integration

Hi All,

Need your expert comments on RPM and PS integration.

To what I unerstand:

1. Projects to be created in PS.

2. Portfolio to be created in RPM.

3. Projects can be uploadeded or downloaded in/from RPM to PS.

4. Resources can be managed in RPM with the help of Dashboards etc.

5. Reporting etc can also be done with the help of RPM.

Please correct if my understanding of process is wrong.

Now few doubts:

1. All transaction like procurement, CATS time booking etc. to happen in R3 (Read PS), BUT then do we need to upload/download Projects to and from RPM periodically to get updated reports from RPM.

2. Each project is created as Line item in RPM- Not able to understand this.

Please give some data points so that I can clear the doubts.

Hi Maneesh,

Which version of RPM are you using? If you are using PPM 5.0, then PS support is out of the box and you just have to maintain the DFM configuration correctly, and all data will flow between RPM and PS seamlessly. You don't have to worry about import/export or any other manual data transfer.

What do you mean by projects being line items in RPM? I don't understand this.
