0EC_PCA_1 data source to use GLPCT structure

Dear Friends,

We are using BI7.00 with NW2004S. For our PCA analysis we are using the standard data source 0EC_PCA_1. If we have the balance for example fiscal year 2007 and positng period 2, then during load to the cube, the routine fills the balance amount of the period 2 to all other periods upto 16.

Now since the data volume is high, we want to map the same GLPCT structure in which each period of the particular year will have seperate fileds where data will get populated for the respective posting period, by this we get only one record in the cube for the year with the periods as in columns instead of row which creates one record for each period.

Kindly help me on how to achieve this functionality.

Experts help appreciated.

Regards,

M.M

In order to denormalize or flatten the structure of the DataSource for extraction of GLPCT data, you will have to create a generic DataSource and use the GLPCT table as the template for the extraction structure. This will then give you the periods in columns like it is structured in GLPCT, instead of creating one record for each Fiscal Year/Period and Currency Type combination.
