Copying track with all dc's from one server to another in DI

Hi All,

I have a scenario , where a new server is to replace a old one.

Is there anyway where in I can copy the whole track as it is to my new server along with SC's.

But will also like to mention, I need to modify the old track to add two more new SC's for development.

Thanks and Regards,

Nuzhat

Hi Nuzhat,

you have 3 options.

Option 1.

System copy. This is useful if you wanted to create a new j2ee instance anyway. This will bring over every development with the system copy procedure itself. Obviously if the target system already exists, this is not an option for you.

If you want to go for this option, then:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/70ee5ab2-8d7a-2c10-d88b-dbe2fdf666e7&override...

Option 2.

Assemble the SC in the source track, move over to the target system and set up a track with this SC (version 2.0) for the new development. This has the disadvantage that you'll have only the very latest version history, not the complete one.

If you want to go for this option, then you can execute a similar scenario of:

Option 3.

Replication

If you replicate your changes to an already existing target DTR repository then the whole version history will be available.

If you want to go for this option, then: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/46/5d032c1e661cbee10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
