SAP Notes can be implemented directly on PROD or It should be done in DEV first after transport to QA and PROD ?

You need to check what is your existing support pack level. If you support pack level is lower than mentioned in note then you need to apply. Also keep HR functional team in loop before you apply the note.

last applied the above patch.

Hi,

SAP Note 1474108 - Legal Change: Change of Gratuity Limit contains only manual corrections which are delivered in SAP_HRCIN Patch 59. As there is a large gape between 59 and 46 (as in your case), you can either implement the correction as mentioned in SAP Note 1474108 (But, please keep HR Team member while applying.) or you can raise SAP_HR patch level to 59 or other required after discussing the same with your HR Team.

Such SAP_HR patches application needs do be discussed with your HR Team. Please provide side effect report to your HR Team based on the SAP_HR patches gape and after confirmation from the HR Team you can go for applying higher SAP_HR patches.

Hi,

SAP_HRCIN (and other SAP_HRC, SAP_HRG, SAP_HRR*...etc.) is one of the sub-component(s) of SAP_HR Component. So the patch level of SAP_HR is the patch level of SAP_HRCIN component.

Goto System->Status->Component Info-> there search for SAP_HRCIN entry and look at its "Short Description of Software Component".

In your case it is at 46 patch level .

I can't see SAP_HRCIN from your list. Is there any add-ons (tcode- saint)?

The support pack SAPK-60059INSAPHRCIN contains only 12 notes. So if you want you can only apply this note but I strongly suggest check with your HR functional team.

You should always implement SAP Notes along the transport line of your landscape (meaning DEV -> QAS -> PRD) and test it along the way in order to avoid problems in production. Therefore start implementing the note in DEV first.

Now i am in the process of SAPnote .

As per HR - Consultant intimates to apply below 2 sapnotes for new configuration .

now i am applying SAPnote on DEV .

i need to clarify 2 things ,

1 ,when i apply SAP note 1474108 , its shows

SAP Note does not contain valid correction

instructions.

2, when i apply SAP note 1507799

Diagnosis

The system cannot fully implement the corrections to this object. The system either cannot find where to change the object or the lines to be deleted do not exist there.

This may be due to the following:

The object already contains customer modifications.

An SAP Note that is a prerequisite for the correction that you want to implement has not yet been implemented.

The SAP Note contains errors.

Procedure

Double-click the object name to display the changes to be implemented in detail. If the SAP Note cannot be implemented as a result of your own modifications, you can adjust the corrections to your modifications.

If you have not modified this object, then the SAP Note data probably contains errors. Contact SAP Support.

Kindly suggest what should i proceed further sapnotes issues .

If you read the note 1474108, clearly mentioned that --> Changes involve manual correction, hence follow the below mentioned

steps to implement the corrections.

Hence you need to implement the note 1474108 manually.

Please read the note carefully. you need to follow as below which is clearly mentioned in the note.

a) Follow the manual steps mentioned in the attached document

b) Apply the attached correction instructions

I strongly suggest you must read the notes / documentation before you paste the errors to Forums. This will help you to implement the correct notes and solution.

Hi,

Along with the above suggestions, Before Going to apply ANY SAP Note in any SAP Solution, one should have to read them carefully for the following things for smooth implementation.

1. The SAP Note which is going to be applied is valid for which Component of which SAP Release and for which SAP Solution ?

2. Weather SAP Note requires any other SAP Notes implementation as prerequisites ?

3. Weather SAP Note or its dependent SAP Notes require any Pre-Implement or Post-Implement manual action/corrections ?

4. Weather corrections contained in SAP Note are obsolute or not. It may be chance that your SAP system may have latest Patch for the respective component release and those corrections are already applied in lower patch of respective component.

5. Weather the SAP Note requires any ABAPer to be involved for correction implementation/analysis.
