Copy Number

Hi experts,

In Sap 8.8 with Crystal Report, when printing a Invoice document I want to write diferent texts depending on the

printed copy.

Ex I want to write 3 copies of an Invoice.

In copy number 1 I want do write "Original", in copy number 2 I want to write "Duplicate" and in copy

number 3 I want to write "Other"

The only way I now is coping the invoice layout 3 times and change the text that I want to write in each one.

This is not a good solution because if I have to change something I have to change in the three layouts.

Is there any function "COPY NUMBER" ? Or how can I work around this situation?

Best regards,

Augusto Silva

Hi Augusto........

In SAP 8.8 there is a provision called sequence printing in PLD layout.

Create three replica of PLDs and on each one give the respective text as Original in one and duplicate in two and buyer in third like that and assign the sequence so the moment user give print command all the three copies will come out....

try this solution once.......

Hi Rahul,

Thank you for your answer.

The question is that I only want one layout because if I have three replica of PLDs if I have to change something I have to make the changes in three layouts.

Is there any possibility to have only one layout and have a text that depends in the copy PLD is writting.

Obviously you have to make changes. But I guess you can do it by formulae.

Please wait till you get the formula.....

Hi Augusto Silva,

As Rahul said, try to use the Sequence option. Otherwise it can be achieved through normal PLD using Copynumber() formula.

But it is difficult to know the Print number in Crystal Reports.

If you extensively search this forum, you can know the answer for it is No in Crystal reports (with single layout).

As a work around, you can create three crystal layouts and assign using Sequence as Rahul advised.
